Sold out concerts, a well visited masterclass, impressive experiences: Silvan Zingg’s first tour in Azerbaijan was an incredible success.

Thanks to the efforts of the Embassy of Switzerland in Azerbaijan and their love for the cheerful music, Boogie Woogie, Silvan Zingg was given the opportunity to do in 2018 his own tour in Baku, Azerbaijan from 27th – 28th January 2018 and he played concerts for his Baku fans.

It started with the first sold out concert on Saturday, 27th January in the International Mugam Center in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Hundreds of enthusiastic people attended to this concert and listened to his broad Boogie Woogie, Blues and Jazz repertoire that he shared with the audience. Three hours full of great music and entertainment were brought from Switzerland to Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijan audience was enthusiastic about Zingg's elegance of style, talent and charisma.

The Sunday afternoon started with a Boogie Woogie Master Class at the Rotunda Jazz Club of the Hotel Landmark in Baku. Silvan Zingg taught the students about the history of Boogie Woogie. He presented "The history of Boogie Woogie and Blues Piano" for the jazz musicians in Baku. Afterwards there was a great jam session. He spent the day together with the famous Azerbaijani jazzman and organizer of the Baku Jazz Festival, saxophonist Rain Sultanov.

Afterwards at 7 pm started the concert at the same place which was as well sold out. Ambassadors and renowned personalities attended the piano concert of the charismatic Swiss pianist.

Silvan Zingg is very happy and proud of the successful concerts but also impressed by the lovely people, the culture and the beautiful landscape. “It's really a beautiful country and Baku a wonderful city”, says the musician.

The message of this tour is clear: Good music performed with passion and emotions is transnational and can connect people all over the world.

“I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone involved in the excellent organization of this tour and to all the fans that attended to the concerts and listened to my music. It was a great stay in this beautiful country!”, says Silvan Zingg.
